Focywears wasn't born in a fancy office or with a large investment. It started in 2019, while I was still an undergraduate at the university. Like many students, I had big dreams but limited resources. What I did have was determination and a passion for fashion.
Instead of waiting for the perfect opportunity, I decided to create one.
I spent countless hours visiting clothing stores and fashion shop owners, building relationships, learning about the industry, and sourcing quality products. I walked from shop to shop, asking questions, comparing styles, negotiating prices, and carefully selecting pieces that I believed people would love to wear.
Those early days taught me lessons no classroom could. I learned that business is about people, trust, consistency, and never being afraid to start small.
As a student, balancing academics and running a growing fashion business wasn't always easy. There were days filled with excitement after making a sale and days when things didn't go as planned. Every challenge became another lesson that shaped my entrepreneurial journey.
Eventually, life took me in different directions, and Focywears had to pause its operations. It wasn't an easy decision, but sometimes taking a step back is necessary to prepare for a stronger comeback.
Although the business was on hold, the vision never disappeared.
During that time, I continued learning, growing, and developing new skills. I gained valuable experiences that changed how I think about business, branding, customer service, and the importance of creating something that lasts.
Today, I'm excited to say that Focywears is back—and better than ever.
